This basilica rhythm church was built under adverse conditions. Its construction was financed by the Protokletos Missionary Association. The engineers, craftsmen and workers employed in this project received special training in Greece while the guidance during the course of the project was done through teleconferences due to health safety issues. The most characteristic example of the adverse conditions we had to confront during the construction was the fact that in order concrete to be produced solid pieces of rock had to been broken as a source of fine and coarse gravel.
