The construction of the Church began in 1996.

It is an imposing project that dominates the Skala Nafpaktia, above Nafpaktos, in the area of the Monastery of Metamorfosis Sotiros, overlooking the northern side of the Peloponnese.

It consists of chapels whose decoration includes a special placement of hagiographies distributed in 15 domes with a different theme in each one. The floors of the Temple are decorated with marbles with elaborate designs.

An underground tunnel has been built that connects the Sanctuary of the Temple with the rest of the Monastery.

A bridge has also been built on the south side of the building so that the epitaph circumambulation can be carried around.
